The Qld Eisteddfod is a choir competition at Easter each year, which QUMS often attends. This year it's in Brisbane!
We go to Eisteddfod because competition is a great way to improve as a choir and as individual singers. We get to listen to a whole bunch of other choirs too, and be part of a broader community.
This year QUMS - the whole choir, or at least as many of us as can attend, we'll need at least 20 singers - has entered the Sacred choral contest. We'll be performing O Sacrum Convivium and Down to the Water on the evening of Good Friday (March 29th).
Other events will be running throughout Friday and Saturday, including the Massed Sing on the Saturday night.
Every performer will need a ticket as the Eisteddfod charges admission. Getting your ticket via QUMS is both easier for you and lets us know you'll be there :)
If you're performing small group items with Bits and Pieces, you will need a season pass (as your events occur over multiple sessions on both Saturday and Sunday) and (for everyone's convenience) you can purchase that pass via QUMS. If you're only singing in the Sacred but would like to be in the audience for other events, you can also puchase a season pass.
